Dark, disturbing and twisted is how I would describe David Lynch's private collection of art, short films and lithographs. I wasn't expecting this based on his films, but you can see where his films get some of their moments from the exhibition.

When discovered, the fossilised remains of Lucy changed our understanding of human evolution. We used to think that an increase in brain size led to walking upright and "being human", but Lucy showed it's the other way round - walking upright led to an increase in our brains. Her remains are touring Europe for the first time and they started right here in Prague.

I'm looking forward to the gravity-defying Cirque du Soleil performance later this summer. They'll be in Prague for a month and will have multiple shows on weekends.

Taipei's National Palace Museum has lent 100 precious items from its collection to the Czech National museum. Between ancient scrolls and jade carvings, the curators have put together an incredible viewpoint on the Qing dynasty. I've missed this so far, but since the loan runs out at the end of 2025, I'd best hurry!

His brand of comedy is not for everyone, but the record numbers who see him live shows that "not for everyone" is still "thousands of people". Very few tickets left as of time of writing.

Spanish opera legend Placido Domingo is set to wow audiences in Prague with selections from well-known operas. He will perform excerpts from Verdi to Puccini as well as many others in an 80-minute show in Prague's Rudolfinum. The cheap tickets were snapped up, making this a pricey, if one-of-a-kind, evening.

I'm excited about Gunther von Hagens' Body Worlds exhibition; partially because I missed it when it was in Prague, and partially because I'm fascinated by the idea of plastination. The exhibition is as entertaining as it is educational, showing how the human body works and functions in an eye-popping way.
