All-American diners in Europe tend to be brash and over-the-top but that’s not the case with Route54. I was puzzled by the British Union Jack motifs, but I didn’t want to restart the Boston Tea party, so I didn’t mention it. Their American food is great – which means diner food, which means burgers – but the other options seem to be a hurried add on. Stick to the classics and you won’t go wrong.
