As an expat, Bohemian (and Slavic) history is almost unknown. I understand why they taught us our history at school, but is it really so hard to give a broader view of things? Anyway, the National Museum does a great job of educating philistines like myself. Their current exhibition about the Přemyslids means that we can shield ourselves from the scorching summer sun and discover a chapter of local history while we're at it.

After conning the art world, and numerous collectors, Beltracchi now paints in his own name and no longer tries to con people. Or so he claims, but how would I know? Nevertheless, the range of his talent is indisputable and is showcased at Prague's Municipal House till the end of September.

This is the second time I'm writing about Holmes which shows Prague is going through a Victorian-London-phased revival of sorts. Immersive exhibitions in the city have been well-received and thoughtfully-designed so I expect this new Sherlock Holmes exhibition to be just as popular with locals and tourists alike.
