A tiny place in charming Josefov which serves great pastries, coffee and freshly baked bread? Yes please! Mansson's also have sandwiches and a few other options too, if you're so inclined.
The relaxed vibe at WAID bar is not quite "student digs" but isn't far off either. They make a mean Vesper Martini which is top of my wishlist, and their pricing isn't expensive either. Which just goes to show that you can find great cocktails and atmosphere if you move 500 metres out of the city centre.
There's a relaxed, semi-industrial vibe to some Prague outside venues. While I'm a fan of fancy decor, the laid-back attitude has its charms especially in the summer months.
Is it fast food? Kind of, but better than the major chains. The sliders - and the vegan options - are what you'd come back for.
With a relaxed atmosphere and a great view, Bistro Bobovka is a perfect out-of-centre place. There's plenty for kids too; perhaps in warmer months when the bobsleigh is available!
Fine dining is lovely but sometimes I want a burger and a beer. Is that too much to ask? Set in a pedestrianised area, Pod Parou hits the spot. Cheers!
It's tiny but this pun-tastic restaurant has delicious freshly made food that's a treat. Hidden just off Dlouha, it's excellent as a lunch option too.
Vegan desserts don't have to be tasteless and grubby. Share Sweet has a great selection - but the lemon cake remains my staunch favourite.
Finding great food outside a city isn't easy. If you're in the Liberec region, Emoi has some of the best Pad Thai you'll enjoy.
